It was so wonderful to see this family again as their youngest, Lukas, celebrates his first birthday. I always love being part of such special memories and we celebrated in style with lots of family portraits, cake, and ended with a splash bath.

Dahlia was a little shy when she first arrived for her first birthday photo session, but she did a great job at trying the new props, chairs, and even cake! Plus her parents were troopers for remaining calm and before we knew it we had a happy baby who showed us a few sneaky smiles and gave her cake a fair chance.

Samara was another happy baby in the studio last week! She truly had the cutest giggle that sounded almost like “he he he” - it was adorable. We had such fun with her fairy theme and pearls, and ended with a splash bath where she showed off her best smiles.

Last week I got to see this lovely family again and meet their newest little one, Nandini. She came in for 6 month baby milestone pictures and while everyone was here, we also included a few sibling photos and full family portraits. Nandini was truly one happy baby during our time and we captured so many smiles!

This sweet girl has had quite the wild ride since her birth in mid February. She was early for her April due date and spent several weeks in the NICU and then was on oxygen while at home. Her parents still wanted to capture some baby pictures as best we could even with this alert and wide eyed girl, and I think we came away a wonderful mix of portraits that show how much she’s grown and yet still got a few newborn-type images to make a beautiful gallery for a beautiful girl.
