Lukas' First Birthday Sneak Peek

It was so wonderful to see this family again as their youngest, Lukas, celebrates his first birthday. I always love being part of such special memories and we celebrated in style with lots of family portraits, cake, and ended with a splash bath.

Lukas was a little shy upon first arriving so we opted to do our family photos first so he could stay with mom and/or dad. We had extended family present, too, and we got several with grandma, auntie, and the family plus pictures of Lukas individually with his parents.

His older brother had also warmed up to me (blocks, wooden cars, and snacks sure help!) and so we also were able to get a few photos of just him that will match the ones of Lukas for any wall hangings or albums.

Lukas took some time to get comfortable but his mom had a great idea to have music on and that allowed us to get some quick pics of him without a parent holding him. He even gave a few curious smiles as he tried some snacks and found he actually enjoyed sitting in the different chairs.

The cake smash wasn’t Lukas’ favorite as he didn’t care for the food but he was still quite adorable sitting there in his little onesie and hat. I was surprised he left it on, too, and he even kept it all the way to our final splash bath.

And all I can say is YAY for the splash bath! Lukas loved it! We finally captured his big beautiful smile, geniune laughs, and he had a blast splashing in the water. What a great way to end so even if cake wasn’t his thing, the bath sure was and I’m so glad we got to truly celebrate with him at the end!
