Mokshitha's First Birthday Sneak Peek

Mokshitha had a fabulous first birthday photo session last week where we celebrated with family photos, a cake smash, and splash bath! She was happy to play with my blocks and pearls, thoroughly enjoyed her cake (especially the frosting!), and smiled all the way through the bath - a truly happy birthday session!

We started with family portraits with her parents and Mokshitha looked adorable in a ruby colored dress and little shoes with sparkles. We then had the gold and pink butterfly background ready for her own special photos where she sorted my pearl necklaces for a bit and tried out several of my little chairs.

She loved the wooden stool the most and we all got a laugh at how she worked so hard to balance on top. She also refused to give up her necklaces and very carefully balanced on top looking very proud and yet also concentrating hard to not topple off.

Mokshitha also dove right into her cake when it was time! Not many babies know or care about cake and it takes some coaxing to get the to taste it. But Mokshitha loved it right away and took handfuls of frosting and licked it off her hands. She did so great sitting and eating her fill of icing and it was fun to watch her enjoy her special birthday treat.

We ended with a splash bath and strawberry theme, with flowers and lights and, of course, real berries to add around the tub and for her to eat. She loved the bath and smiled, laughed, and even splashed a little. We were able to capture different props and lights while she played, and she had a fabulous time in the warm water with the rubber ducks and strawberries.

A truly happy first birthday session for this sweet girl and I wish her more cake and celebrations to come!
