Jaxson First Birthday Sneak Peek

Jaxson was such a sweetheart during his big first birthday session! We took photos with the cookies and milk background with his matching “ONE sweet cookie” shirt, then had a fabulous cake smash with the Mr. ONEderful tuxedo background in black, white, and gold. His older siblings also got in on the action helping share the cake and having their baby brother sit with them which is alway a special bonus to have those memories of all the kids celebrating the birthday together.

We started off with the cookie background and Jaxson had an adorable shirt and Cookie Monster teether to coordinate with the theme. He was such a happy baby, and he was content to sit in the baskets and chairs with blocks and clap and cheer with his family.

Then we changed our setting to go with the Mr. ONEderful theme and used the black and gold balloon wall with tuxedos. His brother and sister had coordinating outfits for sibling pictures, even down the gold bowties for the boys, and we captured great sibling pics before bringing out the messy cake.

Jaxson wasn’t sure about the whole “smash the cake” thing, but he gave it a good try and ate some pieces and clapped for himself. Then we let the older kids in on the action and they enjoyed eating some cake, too, and feeding it to Jaxson to see if he’d try it. They were truly rock stars for getting messy, sitting with their brother, and letting us capture such special moments!
