Miles' Newborn Sneak Peek
This family inquired about photos after Miles was already here, having been born just a day before all the big birthday celebrations at my own house! I knew we’d connect right away as they just moved here from Texas, very close to where I grew up. Not only did they just move and have a baby, but they are moving again to their permanent home! I’m so glad we found a time to get Mr. Miles into the studio while he was still within that perfect little window for a newborn session. And he certainly didn’t disappoint!
Miles did a fabulous job, perhaps only being upstaged by his big brother during their sibling photos. His brother was such a great listener, allowing me to get several different photos of the two of them together. Their parents had also brought a pair of adorable matching shirts for the boys, one saying “Did we just become best friends?” while Miles’ shirt responded with “yep!”.
I also loved the images captured on the Texas patterned swaddling blanket. Looking back, I’d wished I had a similar image of my oldest daughter, since we moved from Texas when I was 20 weeks pregnant with her. For someone who still occasionally brags about being a 5th generation Texan, not one of my five kids was born in that state! How special to get to preserve that memory for some fellow Texans.
Right at the end mom wanted one very special photo with a bow tie that her oldest had also worn for newborn pictures. Miles sure gave me a hard time for making him do “one more photo” but, boy, was it worth it! He looked right at the camera at the perfect moment, and I’m so glad we persevered to get such a magical picture for mom.
