Isabella Baby & Cake Smash Session

Oh my goodness, where has the time gone?! This little girl was last in the studio for her newborn photos, and if you remember, we did a beautiful session filled with purples and butterflies. Now she is about to turn 1 year old, and I’m so happy I got to be part of her adorable baby milestone session along with her cake smash, this time with a whole new theme.

A few years ago, I did her big brother’s cake smash, which was all things Mickey Mouse including little suspenders with matching bowtie. He even had a Mickey cake, although he was not a fan of getting dirty let alone smashing it! So it was only fitting that Miss Isabella had a Minnie Mouse themed session, and her parents brought the cutest custom outfits for her along with a perfectly pink cake. We did several images similar to big brother’s, which will pair wonderfully with the custom red frames for the family to display in their home. Mom even brought in a big stuffed Minnie that had been hers has a child, truly adding a personal touch.

Just when I’d thought the red polka dot outfit was adorable, Isabella had a pink tutu with matching Minnie ears for her cake smash. And the cake was truly stunning - I again wished I was the baby getting to shove cake in my mouth! I got a small taste of the icing and it was as delicious as it was beautiful. Isabella enjoyed her smash more than her brother had, but was still fairly reserved about the whole process. I guess it’s hard to believe you are allowed to destroy something while eating it and getting your hands messy.

I so loved getting to see this wonderful family again and see how much Isabella has grown. It’s the best part of my job to celebrate these milestones with family’s, and an honor to see them again and again. I’ve loved watching these precious kids grow, and I wish Isabella the happiest of birthdays!
