Golden Fall Colors for Analia's Colorado Senior Pictures

I had a fabulous senior photo session with Analia right at the end of the fall season, just before we lost so many of our beautiful leaves this week! We truly timed things perfectly, as we were still able to capture golden leaves on the local cottonwood trees and end our evening with a gorgeous sunset over the Rocky Mountains.

Analia and her mom chose two of my favorite outdoor senior photography locations in the Denver metro area. I absolutely love pairing these spots together because they offer two completely different looks for senior pictures without having to drive too far between them.

Analia also brought two beautiful outfits for her session, starting with a more casual fall look and finishing with a dressier outfit for our sunset portraits.

Fall Senior Portraits with Natural Rocks and Golden Leaves

We started our session with Analia wearing jeans and a green, off-the-shoulder striped shirt at a beautiful natural area known for its small pond and large rock formations.

Analia and I explored the rocks together, capturing some great senior portraits before making our way toward the grassy areas behind the pond. The combination of golden fall grasses, changing leaves, and water created such a beautiful backdrop for her pictures!

I especially love how this location offers so many opportunities to incorporate natural Colorado scenery into senior portraits. Between the boulders, trees, and peaceful water, we were able to capture a wonderful variety of images, all without leaving the Denver metro area!

A Quick Stop for Golden Colorado Fall Colors

Before heading to our second location, we made a quick stop along the way where some gorgeous cottonwood trees were showing off their golden fall leaves. I couldn't resist taking advantage of that beautiful color for a few more senior portraits! It was the perfect little addition to Analia's session, especially knowing those fall colors wouldn't be around much longer.

Rocky Mountain Views and a Beautiful Colorado Sunset

Then we finished driving to another one of my favorite spots for senior pictures. This location offers sweeping views of the Rocky Mountain range and is especially beautiful during golden hour and sunset.

Analia loved her first outfit so much that we captured a few additional portraits before she changed into her second look, a beautiful navy blue polka-dot dress with spaghetti straps.

There were quite a few clouds stretching across the mountain range that evening, but when we turned toward the south, we found the most beautiful skies near Pikes Peak! The combination of soft evening light, dramatic clouds, and mountain views made for some gorgeous senior portraits.

We explored the open grassy slopes and made our way toward a small grouping of pine trees, taking advantage of the different backgrounds and beautiful light as the sun began to set.

It was such a wonderful way to finish Analia's fall senior photography session!

Celebrating Analia's Senior Year

I so enjoyed spending the evening with Analia and her mom, hearing about her plans after high school, and capturing these special memories during such an exciting season of life.

Analia was absolutely beautiful throughout her session, and I loved how effortlessly she moved between the casual fall scenery and our dressier mountain sunset portraits. We even bonded over our ear piercings, which was such a fun little connection!

Analia, thank you for such a wonderful evening! I'm so glad we were able to capture the last of Colorado's gorgeous fall colors and such a beautiful sunset for your senior pictures. Wishing you all the best as you finish your senior year and begin your next adventure!
