Jackie's First Birthday Sneak Peek
It was so wonderful to see this family again for Jackie’s first birthday celebration! She was such a fun and happy little girl and she had the best faces, whether it was a tongue sticking out or a curious squint. We had a blast capturing some nice portraits with her pink tutu, including a few with her brother, before we let her attack her cake! While she may have been more fascinated with the cake topper than the cake itself, she still got some great bites of frosting and had a fabulous time.
We started with our nice photos and Jackie had a simple white shirt to go with an adorable pink tulle tutu. She wasn’t quite walking yet, which was great for me, and she was very happy and content to sit and play with bead necklaces while we captured pics of her sitting.
Then big brother joined for a few sibling photos and he did a wonderful job giving his best smiles and even a special kiss for his sister. Jackie also got to try out a few baskets and the curved white toddler chair before we got a quick pic of her standing next to her stuffed bunny. The bunny was wearing a matching pink tutu that had fit Jackie when she was a newborn and had been in all her milestone pictures, so it was great to add that in for a first year photo with the two of them!
After a few quick full family photos, we changed our background to a spring market and added colorful flowers to make it extra colorful. Jackie had a simple blue and white checkered dress for her cake smash and her mom made the fabulous cake!
Jackie loved the topper and used that to scoop up frosting to eat off the end. She did try a few bites directly from the cake, but I guess it just tasted better off the stick! Her brother was a great trooper and joined in the fun for a little bit and he dove in face first to eat straight off the cake stand.
The cake was toppled, poked, enjoyed and giggled over for a truly fun cake smash. Jackie sure had a wonderful time and I love all the tongue licking pics we got along with her huge happy smiles. I wish her a wonderful first birthday and was so honored to be part of such a fabulous milestone!
