Ari First Birthday Sneak Peek

I had the joy of seeing Ari and his mom again after photographing other special memories for the family and last seeing Ari when he was just a tiny baby. Now he’s celebrating his first birthday and he brought lots of cute smiles, smirks, and fun with his photos and cake smash which made for a fun morning!

Ari started out with the mountain adventure background and had a perfectly coordinated outfit to go along with the mountains vibes. He was definitely food motivated which was fantastic as he would do most anything for a few puff treats.

He got to play with some cars, a little red pickup truck, and lantern before we decided to try out the baskets and chairs. Ari is close to cruising and so containing him was a fun challenge as he knows how to scoot away and crawl out of things. But he absolutely loved getting to stand and hold onto a stool and I think we got our best smiles with him showing off his standing skills.

Before our messy cake smash, we snagged a few more nice portraits of Ari against the blue balloon wall in his baby blue romper. He was a great sport and even tried out a few of the little chairs again. Then we let him go after his cake!

He was a slow type of eater and definitely spent time processing the icing and licking it off his fingers. He also at some point remembered he could move and scoot away, so after capturing lots of fun faces and moments eating the cake, we let him do his favorite thing again - stand next to it!

It truly was a fun morning with Ari and his mom and I’m so glad we got to capture such fun memories. I wish you the happiest first birthday, sweet boy!
