Liam's First Birthday Sneak Peek

It’s hard to believe that this little dude is a whole year old! I was photographing Liam from the womb with his mom’s maternity pictures, then met him at the hospital, and saw him for newborn and holiday pictures over this last year. Now he’s celebrating his very first birthday in style with a cake smash and bath, a perfect way to mark those special memories!

Liam had the cutest little tux suspenders and bow tie for our first set of pictures with the tuxedo background in gold and black. It took him a little bit to warm up to me and the newness of the studio, but once he had some blocks in hand and good music he was one smiling dancing baby.

We captured several pics with his parents, then showed off his standing and walking skills with lots of very fast pictures with a few chairs and stools. I even had to be quick with his photos in the basket as he was definitely mobile and loved to be on the go!

Then we got ready for his cake smash by keeping just the bow tie and setting up the stars and planets outer space background for his first trip around the sun. Liam absolutely loved his cake, immediately grabbing the pretend planets off the top and dancing with his hands in the air.

Plus he was one of those rare babies who went face first to take a bit - LOVE! He went back for a few tastes face-first and had the best blue icing smile all across his cheeks.

Afterwards, we finished our celebrations with a splash bath where he kept his blue footprints on the floor and happily watched him play with the bath toys. Liam had the best smiles at the end playing with the balls and rubber ducks and it was a wonderful way to end his photo session.
