Daphne's First Birthday Sneak Peek

It’s always fun to see these sweet babies as they grow from newborns to celebrating their first birthdays! The last time I saw Daphne was during her special newborn photo session, so it was fun to get to see her smiles and personality now that she’s a whole one year old!

Daphne’s family chose to do the exact same backgrounds and themes for her as we did for her older sister, and I absolutely loved that idea so both girls have matching first birthday photos! We used a pastel colored background with white curtains first for some formal portraits and we even snagged a few of the sisters together.

After some pictures of just Daphne sitting in a few toddler chairs and showing off her standing skills, we moved to our second background to get ready for the cake smash. Daphne wore the same white sparkle dress that her sister had worn, and we set up the white background with lights and curtain details.

Daphne gave her cake a true chance as she picked at the frosting and ate small bites off her fingers. But she mostly just loved the attention and we got some great smiles as she explored her cake.

Then big sister joined in the fun and both girls ate pieces of cake and icing together. Sister offered Daphne a few bites to get her to try more of the actual cake, and she was so sweet to her baby sister to sit with her on her special day.

It was a joy to see this family again and get to photograph these two precious girls! I wish Daphne the happiest birthday with many more to come!
