Sami's Newborn Sneak Peek

Sami was one sweet little guy during his big newborn photo session last week. He was a little over 7 pounds but felt like a solid chunk as he had the best cheeks and so much dark hair! We captured lots of great family photos and sibling pics while he was here, too, and he had several calm awake moments so we even got a few with his eyes open.

We started off with the family and sibling pics with the moon, and his big sister did such a great job following instructions on where to sit. Plus she gave some great smiles! Later on she was still desiring to be in the pictures so we did additional ones of her holding her brother while laying down.

His mom had requested blues and whites, so I kept the moon theme with the large prop and the moon basket. Sam did great both on his back and tummy, and snoozed away for the first half of our photos allowing me to grab one quick bucket picture before waking.

After a quick feed, we did our full family portraits and Sami was wide awake the entire time. He was quite calm and peaceful but certainly wanted to look around. He drifted off to sleep later right as I finished his swaddled pics which was great timing for our final images on the beanbag.

Sami flew through our final pictures and we were able to do several poses on his tummy, side, and even some of my favorite where he’s relaxed and curled on his back.

Overall Sami truly did great for his newborn photos and it was such a joy to be part of these special memories for this family again as they welcomed this sweet boy.
