McIntosh Twins Sneak Peek
These girls have been through so much in their short little lives already! And so have their mamas! We originally were to have newborn photos several months ago but the girls came early and needed extra care in the NICU. Then only one was able to come home and after more waiting and anticipation, both girls are finally home, with their parents, and were ready for pictures - yay!
Gwen and Zoey were so adorable and their moms had two cute outfits for us to capture during our session. They aren’t quite at the tummy time stage yet where they can lift their heads, even though they are close to 5 months old. So we worked around what was comfortable for them and then snagged photos with their parents while everyone was here.
The girls had such distinct personalities already and I was told to make sure to get a photo of Gwen with her tongue out. Zoey was so smiley and happy, which I hear was a total swap of the norm, but both girls were perfect in all their photos with each other and separately.
We got several of them on a soft blanket, then they were still small enough to fit inside my heart bowl. I also pulled out my coffee mug and had each mom hold it by the handle so I could work some Photoshop magic later and put each girl in a cup. Those are always so fun to do at that stage before they are mobile!
At the end both girls got so sleepy that Zoey fell asleep while tucked into her sister’s side. We made the most of it and got them in their pink tutus and I was able to get the most precious pictures of their toes, holding hands, and the two snuggled in sleeping together.
It truly was a joy to finally meet this family and I know the girls are ready to grow and thrive now that they are home at last!
