Caiden's First Birthday Sneak Peek

This special little guy had a fabulous Mickey Mouse birthday session! His mom had an adorable outfit and ears set for him and Caiden enjoyed getting to crawl around the studio both for nice photos, a few family pictures, and then truly destroy and smash his cake. A perfect way to celebrate a birthday!

We started with our nice pictures for Caiden’s first birthday. I love this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse background and scene - truly one of my favorites and it’s so fun to set up and then customize. Caiden had the most perfect holiday set of mouse ears and did a wonderful job sitting on my various chairs and, of course, playing with a lantern. He even had a sneak smile or two.

We captured a few parent and family images of Caiden with his mom and dad right before bringing out the messy cake. It’s always so special to get those quick family photos as I know from personal experience how challenging it can be to be in photos with your kids, especially when you’re typically the one taking the pictures.

Caiden was a pro at smashing his adorable Mickey cake. He slide it off the stand a few times at first as that was more fun that eating cake, so we abandoned the cake stand after a while and just let him play with the frosting. He gave it a tiny taste and then preferred to just paint or get his hands messy in the icing - a perfectly acceptable response for a smash cake!

Overall, Caiden had a great celebration and it was such fun to get to share in this moment with his family. I wish him more cake to come during his actual birthday party later and a very happy first birthday!
