I met up with Ava over the weekend for some beautiful senior photos. This gorgeous girl is a dancer, and from what her mom explained, an exceptionally amazing one at that! She wanted some portraits in her pointe shoes and we had this wild idea of doing them at the water and rock location I frequently visit. Ava was so calm and flexible on trying this out and found a great boulder to stand on. I’m so excited our vision became a reality and Ava has some amazing photos at this scenic spot in her ballet attire.

Ava also had the most amazing sunset this past fall evening. It got a bit cold as the sun set behind the mountains, but these last images were just breathtaking. She was able to change into two different outfits and get some pictures with the great golden light and ornamental grasses that are so pretty this time of year.

During this process, I learned Ava had the unfortunate experience of already having these types of photos done with a different photographer, with things falling through in the end. She was left without any actual photos to show for already having taken senior pics, which is such a shame and not the way you want these memories to go! I was so incredibly honored when her mom called explaining the situation and she said she wanted to make it right and provide a wonderful senior picture experience for her daughter. I completely agree! Ava was a true champ to get all dressed up again, come out when it was a chilly in the early evening, and take more pictures with her pointe shoes and several other outfits.

I truly enjoyed meeting her and her lovely family, who just wanted to give their daughter the best possible senior picture experience they could. I am excited to share this peek with them and the gallery very soon.
