I love having the opportunity to photograph friends, and yesterday I had just such an opportunity for the daughter of a good friend I know through church. It's hard to believe she is already a senior in high school this year! It makes me realize just how long I've now lived in Colorado and been part of my church and corresponding book club. With my own daughter now in first grade, it really makes you stop and realize how quickly the time passes and your kids are growing up.
Katelyn wanted some great photos with her black belt and boxing gloves, which we got at the water location. She also brought her trumpet, which she hopes to continue to play post-high school and perhaps even minor in music. I love incorporating special accomplishments and items into senior sessions that truly make them authentic to the specific individual. and I really enjoyed photographing her with those special props.
We finished up our session with a gorgeous even sunset at our second location. While we couldn't see the mountains on this particular night, we had a beautiful pink sky. We snagged some great images with the gorgeous sky as our backdrop as well as others around in that same area. I've already had a hard time narrowing down just those for the gallery, let alone for this sneak peek!
A big congrats to this senior on her incredible accomplishments as she enters her last year of high school! I wish you the best of luck as you start to apply to colleges and I can't wait to hear where life takes you next.
