A Perfect Fall Evening for Senior Pictures
Remember that one truly cool fall day we had sandwiched between all the 85-degree afternoons? That happened to be the evening of Dominik's senior session, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. The cooler temperatures made it comfortable to explore the Tallyn's Reach Clubhouse grounds, and we were rewarded with one of the most beautiful Colorado sunsets to end the evening.
A Western Style That Fit Him Perfectly
Having grown up in Dallas, I'll always appreciate a great pair of cowboy boots and an authentic cowboy hat. So when Dominik arrived wearing both, I was immediately excited for his session.
We experimented with different ways to incorporate his hat throughout the evening, creating portraits that highlighted both his personal style and personality. Those little details always help make a senior session feel unique to each student.
Colorado Scenery Without Leaving the Neighborhood
Although the fall colors hadn't fully arrived yet, the golden evening light more than made up for it. The large pine trees, beautiful stone architecture, and surrounding landscape created a classic Colorado backdrop for Dominik's senior portraits.
We captured several great options for his yearbook photo before continuing to explore the property, taking advantage of different lighting and scenery along the way.
Ending the Session with an Incredible Sunset
After changing into a crisp white outfit, Dominik was ready for a completely different look.
The open grassy field paired beautifully with the setting sun, creating some of my favorite images from the evening. One standout was a silhouette portrait with his cowboy hat as he looked off into the distance—a simple image that perfectly captured the relaxed western feel of the session.
Of course, we couldn't leave without walking over to the large windmill. With cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, and tall Colorado grasses glowing in the sunset, it felt like the perfect place to end the session.
