A Senior Session That Captured Two Seasons
We had a gorgeous evening for Olivia's senior session at Hudson Gardens! One of my favorite things about this time of year is that you can sometimes experience the best of both seasons at once. The roses and garden flowers were still beautifully in bloom, while the nearby trails had already started showing vibrant fall color.
It was the perfect combination for creating a gallery with incredible variety.
Exploring the Beautiful Rose Gardens
Olivia was such a great sport throughout the evening, happily following me around as we explored different areas of the gardens and tried a variety of locations.
Even with several other groups enjoying the beautiful weather, she was wonderful about making small adjustments and changing angles so we could create beautiful portraits without distractions.
One of my favorite areas was the rose trellis, where the flowers were still in full bloom. The wooden trellis and charming garden lanterns created such a timeless backdrop for her senior portraits.
Beautiful Fall Color Along the Trails
Because a large seasonal event was taking place near the lake, we decided to explore some of the public trails just beyond the gardens.
It turned out to be a wonderful change of scenery. The trees lining the trail had reached beautiful fall color, giving us gorgeous golden leaves and warm autumn tones that perfectly complemented Olivia's session. I loved discovering a few new spots along the way and taking advantage of Colorado's incredible fall landscape.
Ending Among the Flowers
For her second outfit, we returned to the gardens and found one last area filled with colorful flowers.
As always, Olivia humored me when I asked her to kick off her shoes and get a little closer to the flowers for a few creative portraits. Those relaxed moments often become some of my favorite images from a session, and these were no exception.
