Caleb's First Birthday Sneak Peek

It was so great to see Caleb and his family again to celebrate his first birthday! I’ve had the honor of seeing him and his family every 3 months to capture his baby milestones and I’ve seen him go from tummy time to sitting and now walking. What a joy to get to share in his special birthday cake smash!

Caleb was still one happy baby and he was super mobile. He needed puff snacks to encourage sitting for 2 seconds and he had the best misvhevious smiles when he’d stand and start to leave the studio. He also decided we were great friends and he offered to share his puffs or come check out my camera.

I loved his little aviator jacket and hat for his first set of photos! He got to sit against the cloud background where I added the new ONE sign and extra cloud fluff. And he did such a great job letting us quickly sit him in various chairs.

We ended with a perfect cake smash where he really challenged my quick skills as Caleb is one mobile baby! He would eat, want to share, or just walk around. But he did keep going back to the cake and trying it over and over…until he finally knocked the stand over completely. Then he enjoyed picking apart the stand and cardboard base, smashed the cake a little more, then decided he was done.

I truly had a blast with Caleb and his special smash cake birthday session! I wish him the happiest of birthdays and, of course, more cake!
