Abem's Newborn Sneak Peek

Abem was such a sweetheart during his big newborn photo session. He was quite snuggly and loved being swaddled, but also was strong enough to break free if he truly wanted. We captured lots of photos with his family including some with his grandmother and the final family portraits were in the family’s traditional cultural clothing.

I loved pulling together the browns and green for Abem and working in a little bit of fall into a few images. He was nice and sleepy when he arrived so we were able to get started right away on the bigger props like the twig bed and the bucket poses, and he did a great job on both.

The family had green and creams for their formal family portraits so we coordinated Abem by wrapping him in a green swaddle. He even then let me swap out the wrap to capture some adorable potato posed images, including one with him in my favorite pumpkin bonnet.

He started to stir as we got to the poses on the beanbag, so while he loved snuggling in on the fabric and having the white noise going, I opted for him to stay happy instead of change blankets. So we did more poses on the green which ended up being a great way for Abem to stay cozy.

At the very end Abem got a quick feed and the family changed into their traditional clothes and had a beautiful robe type wrap for him. This time his grandmother got in on the pictures, which is always such a special moment to get to capture. I can tell this little guy is surrounded by so much love - welcome to the world, Abem!
