Greyson & Carter's Rookie Year Sneak Peek

These special brothers have made it through their rookie year and are celebrating their very first birthday! Greyson and Carter are turning the big one year old, and they had a fabulous photo session together with baseballs and a homemade smash cake to celebrate.

I had the pleasure of photographing Greyson and Carter for their newborn photos then saw them last Christmas for a family mini session. It was such a joy to see everyone again and how much the boys have grown.

Their mom had requested a baseball theme and I was excited to create something special for this family with a new baseball background. I even got some soft baseballs for the boys to hold, later realizing that the heavier and harder ones may have been the way to go instead of the soft balls as they went straight into their mouths to help with new teeth coming in.

We captured photos of the boys together in their matching “rookie year” shirts along with a few of each boy alone. Then both mom and dad got in on a family photo to also show off their coordinating shirts stating “mommy or daddy of the rookie of the year”.

The boys ended with a cake smash, custom made by mom , who did the most amazing job decorating the baseball cakes for each boy. They traded off shoving cakes off the stands, eating icing, before we all gave up on the cake stands and just placed the cakes on the ground.

All in all it was truly a fun session for such a special family and I loved being part of these first birthday memories. A very happy first birthday to you both, Greyson and Carter!
