Jack's Wild One Sneak Peek

Jack was one happy, and fast, little guy when he came into the studio for his first birthday pictures. He was a power walker and joyfully raced around, putting mom’s and my reflexes to the test to capture his joy and smiles with the jungle wild one background and then a Dr. Seuss inspired cake smash.

Jack arrived happy and ready to go when his family got to the studio. We had the jungle background set up for him, and he was super interested in the letters spelling ONE, the light stand, and me and my camera. Mom was super helpful getting Jack on the set and in the chairs so I was always ready to snap a photo, and we sure captured his happy personality!

I also decided to put him in a large tub to trap him for a few pictures, but he much preferred to sit or walk around the white toddler chair. We were even able to get a few in a second outfit, and he sat in the larger white chair happily grinning at his family!

For the cake smash, the family had requested the blue balloon wall and they brought in adorable Dr. Seuss inspired props like a large striped hat, ball, and the cake was of Fish. It was beyond adorable! And when I captured Jack in the large metal tub he gave a few amazing smiles before we decided to let me have his cake.

He demolished it and happily ate fistfuls of the cake and then took bites out of the orange fish topper. He really had a fabulous time eating away, but then just as quickly decided to walk around while eating cake. So we snagged some adorable walking cake photos, while mom continued to trap him and put him back near his cake. By the time it was over, both Jack and his mom were covered in frosting, and she gets huge bonus points for being such a trooper during the entire process.

I’m so glad I was able to preserve such special memories for this family! I hope to see you all again!
