Will's Rustic Lumberjack Sneak Peek

Check out this little cutie who will celebrate his first birthday in the coming weeks! His mom had an adorable lumberjack theme for Will complete with buffalo plaid, burlap and pine trees, a canvas tent, and of course ending with an aspen cake for his cake smash. Every inch of his session was so carefully and lovingly planned and I so enjoyed being part of the magic to help bring the final details to life.

Will loved my little red lantern, which I’ve learned over the years is a great way to keep a wiggly or crawling baby to sit still for just a moment. Especially when I turn it on and they can’t figure out the magic of that button! Then I got to really enhance the magic with some special lantern overlays which is always a fun activity for me to do when editing at the computer.

I will also say that Will deserves an award for the most smashing-ist of cake smashers. I have seen so many babies over the years but, my goodness, Will sent that cake flying with the way he was smacking it! It was a true joy to watch him and we were all laughing at how much fun he had. It may have taken him a moment to warm up to the idea of that cake, and he may not have eaten but maybe a bit, but he sure knew what he was supposed to do with that cake.

Thanks so much to his parents for letting me be part of such special memories. I had a blast with his little scene and I can’t wait to share the rest of his images soon.
