Jaxon's Newborn Sneak Peek

Sweet Jaxon was a delight during his big newborn photo debut! I had to adjust a few of my props since he was likely close to 9 pounds at the time of our session, but he had the best round cheeks and back rolls, plus he slept like a champ.

Jaxon’s parents had requested items with light blue, so I added that in whenever possible or paired it with some other shades of blue. Jaxon did great on the twig bed and really started to relax later when we wrapped in a swaddle.

Plus his mom had a few custom swaddles with his name on them, and I loved incorporating those into a few special images. Those were not around (or I was totally clueless) when my kids were tiny, and I absolutely LOVE how they add that personal touch.

We did two colored fabrics on the beanbag and Jaxon really enjoyed being on his tummy. He snuggled right in and snoozed away as I did all kinds of poses and changed out hats. We did take a quick break before our final pictures, and those darn hiccups really kept him awake for a bit. But in the end, we were able to capture a few last sleepy poses plus a couple with his eyes open as he awoke.
