Emerson's Boho Birthday Sneak Peek

This next little girl was truly so happy during her first birthday photos and cake smash. She was all smiles and loved playing with the pearl necklaces, plus absolutely devoured her cake with pure joy.

It’s hard to believe this is the third little one I’ve photographed for this family to celebrate a first birthday. Emerson has two older brothers who also came in for photos over the years, and I love how each time the cake smash is kept simple with a set of balloons, the baby, and the cake.

We started with some adorable photos of Emerson with the boho rainbow background. She put necklaces in and out of lanterns, wore them around her neck, and then stood next to a little stool and organized them and shoved beads in the holes. She was so happy with just about everything it was hard to narrow down all her beautiful smiles!

Then we switched to a perfect little cake smash where Emerson very much enjoyed eating her cake. She licked off most of the frosting, did a cake dance, and giggled over how amazing it was. She also is one of the few kids I’ve ever photographed who went in face first at the end! I think it’s safe to say she loved her birthday celebrations!

A big happy first birthday to you, Miss Emerson! You were a joy to photography and I wish you more cake and dancing in your future.
